During the Antiquity, a palimpsest
was a clay tablet used for writing that could be often reused

The palimpsest effect, a process of self-regulation
In the RU3 model, the memory of access paths
to data is continually occurring. The palimpsest effect is the
technique allowing memory resource self-regulation.
Without the palimpsest effect, the memory storing data for access
to information would be quickly saturated because of the exponential
growth of data volume.
Thanks to the palimpsest effect, the network has some plasticity
that becomes closer to our thinking modes.
Only the paths of information access and qualification are subject
to the palimpsest effect. Data themselves are unaffected.
